Nebenzia: Terrorist organizations have committed unspeakable crimes against civilians in Syria

On March 15th, Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, affirmed that Syria has faced the international terrorism that targeted it and achieved victories over the extremist terrorist organizations.

Nebenzia said that these organizations terrorized the Syrian citizens and committed unspeakable crimes against civilians.

“Despite the unprecedented terrorist attack the Syrian state withstood and was able, with decisive support from Russia, to crush the backbone of the ISIS terrorist organization,” Sputnik news agency quoted Nebenzia as saying during a session of the UN Security Council.

Nebenzia added that external forces took advantage of the events in Syria to influence the situation there and to change the legitimate government there.
