A cooperation agreement between ACSAD and the General Union of farmers

The Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands “ACSAD” and the General farmers Union signed a cooperation agreement today aimed at contributing to the development of the agricultural reality, in its plant and animal parts.

The agreement provides for cooperation between the two sides in the field of preparing studies and applied research that will benefit the agricultural reality in Syria, providing the necessary expertise to train technical and agricultural cadres working in the union, in addition to the union’s participation in the field days that ACSAD carries out in its affiliated stations and exchanging scientific and technical information and data.

Director of the Center, Dr. Nasreddin Obaid, said in a press statement that the center sought cooperation with agricultural institutions, unions, trade and associations interested in the agricultural sector to achieve sustainable Arab agricultural development and ensure the optimal use of natural and human resources, stressing that the signing of the agreement will be a new start for serious and fruitful work between the two sides to rise to the level of the desired ambitions .

In turn, the Chairman of the General farmers Union, Ahmed Saleh Ibrahim, expressed his confidence that the agreement will allow for great benefit from the experts and experiences of ACSAD and its researchers to work with them in achieving social and economic development, pointing out the importance of continuous consultations between the two sides in various areas and improve its efficiency and effectiveness.
