Former Lebanese Minister underlines need to accelerate formation of Lebanese government

Former Lebanese Minister Tariq Al-Khatib, Deputy Chairman of the Free National Bloc, stressed the need to accelerate the formation of the Lebanese government.

In a statement to SANA correspondent, Al-Khatib noted that the delay in forming the government is due to the failure of the Prime Minister in charge of conducting the necessary internal contacts. He pointed out that the Premier is indifferent to the severe economic and health conditions that the Lebanese people experienced.

Since the year 2019, Lebanon has been witnessing protests against the deterioration of living and economic conditions, accompanied by closing road and impeding transportation between regions, in addition to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic in the country.
