Premier discusses with Iranian delegation cooperation in IT and science-based economy

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Prime Minister Hussien Arnous received on Tuesday the Iranian Vice President for Scientific and Technological  Affairs Sorna Stari and the accompanying delegation. 
 
The talks during the meeting dealt with the importance of exchanging scientific experiences in the field of technology and consolidating the infrastructures required to achieve this goal and to invest them in supporting the national economy in the two friendly countries. 
 
The premier asserted that Syria is keen on enhancing cooperation horizons and following up the implementation of agreements and memos of cooperation according to the scheduled timetable. 
 
Arnous said that Syria highly appreciates Iran’s support for it in confronting the terror war being waged against the country. He referred to the efforts being exerted by Iran to defend its right to obtain scientific gains and to convey them to other peoples to disseminate  the culture of knowledge. 
 
For his part, the Iranian minister said that his country wants to help Syria to establish training and rehabilitation centers in the field of economy based on science and knowledge and to implement the Iranian expertise in the process of reconstruction in Syria and in producing local medical equipment.
