Rouhani: Iran does not have an expansionist ideology

On February 23rd, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that his country uses the capabilities of science and technology centers to serve the country and not for military purposes.

“Iran does not have an expansionist ideology towards the components of the defense and military force. The aim of drafting the comprehensive document in the defense field is to employ the capabilities that exist in science and technology centers in the country,” Iranian News Agency IRNA quoted President Rouhani as saying in a statement during the Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution meeting.

Rouhani said that the exchange of roles and services between scientific, civil and even private centers in meeting the needs of the armed forces in addition to the services provided by the military sector to the civil sector, including the economy and industry.
