Media source denies reports about secret clause in recent prisoner swap deal with Israeli occupation

A media source on Saturday denied reports by some media outlets about a secret clause in the prisoner swap deal which led to the liberation of two Syrian captives, Mohammad Hussein and Tarek Al-Obeidan, from the Israeli jails in addition to freedom fighter Nihal Al-Maqt, whose sentence has been suspended.

Promoting alleged information about a secret clause in the swap operation dealing with getting anti-Coronavirus vaccines from the Israeli occupation authorities aims at distorting the national and humanitarian side of the process of liberating the Syrian prisoners from the occupation jails and at defaming Syria, the source said.

The source added that Syria has been clear in dealing with the swap operation and that the media outlets that circulate such claims aim at improving the image of the Israeli occupation and giving its policy the humanitarian nature that it lacks. The source pointed out that Israel’s inhuman policy is evidenced by its continuous occupation of Arab territories, its policy of displacing the Arab people from their lands and its incessant crimes against the Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese people.
