Al-Jaafari discusses with Abdul Hadi the recent developments in the region

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ The recent developments in the occupied Palestinian lands and the region were discussed on Thursday by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari and Director of the Political Bureau at the  Palestinian Liberation Organization Ambassador Anwar Abdul Hadi.

Dr. Al-Jaafari affirmed, during his meeting with Ambassador Abdul Hadi, the importance of cementing the Palestinian national unity through ending the division for serving the Palestinian people.

He pointed out that Syria is being targeted because of its solid stance towards the Palestinian cause.

For his part, the Palestinian official asserted his country’s firm stance related to the Israeli withdrawal to the June 4, 1967 lines and the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital with the guarantee of the return of the Palestinian refugees to their homeland, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).

The agency added that the two sides underscored the need to go ahead with consultation and coordination between the two countries for the common interest of Syrian and Palestinian peoples.
