Russian Deputy Minister of Defense and Pedersen discuss situation in Syria

MOSCOW,(ST)_The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Fomin discussed on Thursday with UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen the situation in Syria.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement published on its website that  Fomin and Pedersen exchanged view points over the situation in Syria within the framework of political settlement process and the meetings of the committee of discussing the constitution.

The two sides asserted the importance of the UN’s active participation in rebuilding Syria and creating normal circumstances in areas liberated from terrorists.
