Jenin city witnessed solidarity stand with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS,(ST)_Scores of Palestinians gathered on Monday in Jenin city in the West Bank to express solidarity with the Palestinians prisoners in the Israeli jails and to call for releasing them.

WAFA news agency reported that the solidarity stand was organized by the Popular Committee for the Release of Prisoners and the Prisoner’s Club.

The participants in the stand raised the Palestinian flag and the photos of the two brother prisoners who has been going on hunger strike since one month ago, Bilal and Bassam Dyab, and the photo of the wounded prisoner Nour Al-Din Al-Bitawi.

They called on international and humanitarian institutes and the Red Cross to put pressures on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their crimes against the prisoners and to release them.

The Palestinian prisoners are subjected to ill-treatment, deliberate medical negligence and physical and verbal abuse, media reports affirm.

There are 4,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails,  including 1,800 sick prisoners who are in need of sustained medical attention.
