Turkish regime’s occupation of the lands of other countries is a flagrant violation of international law, says European Parliament

Prague, (ST) – A member of the European Parliament for Czechia Kateřina Konecna affirmed that, the Turkish regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has occupied the lands of other countries and this is a flagrant violation of international law.

In an article on the Czech Aidnes website, Konecna indicated that Erdogan has played a big role in the deterioration of the situation in Turkey, pointing to his repressive practices against his opponents.

She emphasized that, this regime does not abide by international agreements and works against the interests of the European Union, warning against the unilateral and illegal actions that this regime carries out in the eastern Mediterranean that affect the sovereignty of several countries, including Greece and Cyprus.

Konecna had called earlier for the imposition of sanctions against the Turkish regime due to its aggressive practices in the region and its extortion of the European Union with the issue of migrants.
