US-backed SDF militia kidnaps civilians in Raqqa to forcibly recruit them within its ranks

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Separatist militia on Saturday kidnapped a number of young men in Raqqa northern and eastern countryside to force them to fight within its ranks.

The SDF militants set up checkpoints around Al-Karama town in Raqqa eastern countryside, kidnapped several youths and took them to military training camps, according to local sources.

In Raqqa northern countryside, local sources said that SDF militants stormed citizens’ houses in Hazimeh town, kidnapped four civilians and took them to an unknown destination.

 On Thursday, SDF militants kidnapped two women from Al-Howl Camp in Hasakah countryside as well as several other civilians during their raids on Al-Izbeh town in Deir Ezzor countryside.
