Palestinians rally in protest against Israeli occupation’s plan to displace 17 Palestinian families from Al-Quds to expand settlements

Dozens of Palestinians took part in a rally in the occupied city of Al-Quds in protest against the Israeli occupation plan to displace 17 families from Al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the southeast of the city and seize their houses to expand settlement building activities with the aim of Judaizing the holy city.

Wafa news agency reported that participants in the rally lifted placards demanding the immediate ending of settlement activities and affirming that Al-Quds will continue to be the eternal capital of Palestine.

Zakaraya Odeh, Coordinator for the Civil Coalition for Palestinian Rights in Al-Quds, said that the occupation’s seizure of Palestinian houses in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood threatens to displace 83 Palestinians and replace them with Israeli settlers as part of the occupation continuous policy of Judaization in occupied Al-Quds. He pointed out that the Palestinians in Al-Quds will address the International Criminal Court on this issue for the first time since it announced its mandate on the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967.
