Zakharova: Western countries go into hysteria when they fail to criticize Russia

Moscow,(ST)-A spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, affirmed that Western countries go into hysteria when they fail to criticize Russia.

“The West countries wanted during the visit of the representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell, to Moscow, to criticize Russia, but he failed to do so because Moscow proposed to discuss real problems,” Zakharova said on Radio Vesti FM.

Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about the European Union’s attempts to make the Alexei Navalny case the basis of dialogue with Russia and said that, “what caught my attention is that Borrell, after his visit to Moscow from the 4th to the 6th of this month, published a number of comments on his blog and in one of them tries to portray that Russia is moving away from Europe, “while the Russian side spoke during the visit about the importance of building relations between the two sides on a systematic basis.”
