Takht Ravanchi: Iran will give a decisive response to any Zionist threat

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi has warned of the repercussions of any provocative act by the Zionist occupation entity against his country.

“We reserve our natural right to defend our country, and will give a decisive response to any threat or incorrect move by the Zionist entity,” Takht Ravanchi said in a letter to the UN Chief and President of the Security Council.

“Recently, the Zionist enemy has not only intensified its provocative remarks against the Islamic Republic of Iran, but it is also actively planning to carry out its hostile threats against our country,” the Iranian diplomat added.

He pointed out that the recent claims made by Israeli Chief of Staff last month about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program are a flagrant violation of the second item of the UN Charter, a violation that requires a suitable response by the international community.

He reiterated that the Israeli entity must shoulder full responsibility for its irresponsible and wrong moves,” calling on the Security Council to assume its responsibility towards preserving international peace and security and confront Israel’s “destabilizing” policies and threats about igniting wars.
