Makhlouf briefs parliament on what Local Administration Ministry has achieved

Minister of Local Administration and Environment Hussien Makhlouf asserts that 1.1 million Syrian refugees have returned to the homeland. 
 
Addressing the People’s Assembly [ Parliament] on Thursday, the minister made it clear that 1.1 million refugees returned from abroad while 5 million displaced people returned to their liberated areas. 
 
” Over the past 3 months,  27 shelters and 6443 damaged houses have been rehabilitated by the Higher Committee of Relief in cooperation with international organizations,” the minister added. 
 
He pointed out that 183 departments were allocated for industrialists in Adra, Hasyaa and Sheikh Najjar zones, while 82 departments are under contruction. 
 
“250 billion Syrian pounds is the total amount that was spent by the committe of reconstruction,” Makhlouf said. 
He asserted that the project of lightining up streets in all governorates via renewable power is launched in cooperation with organizations.
