The People’s Assembly condemns the siege of the SDF militias of the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli

On January 31st, the People’s Assembly, in its sixth session of the second regular session held under the chairmanship of Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh, condemned the siege imposed by the US-backed SDF militias on the people of the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli.

The People’s Assembly’s members said that these practices are immoral and are considered a war crime and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and human rights.

The People’s Assembly’s members praised the protests carried out by the people of Hasakah in rejection of the siege of the SDF militias .The protests also demanded the expulsion of the American and Turkish occupation forces from the country.

After that, the People’s Assembly’s members began discussing the draft law that includes the creation of the Public Authority for Fish Resources and Aquatic Life.

The session was attended by Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Muhammad Hassan Qatana, and the State Minister for People’s Assembly Affairs, Melloul Al-Hussein.
