Syria to join COVAX initiative

The Cabinet approved on Tuesday Syria’s access to COVAX initiative, through the World Health Organization, after resolving some of the pending points to secure the safe vaccine against Coronavirus as soon as possible.
 
The Cabinet said in its weekly session, headed by Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, that it urged the Ministry of Health to take the necessary measures, in this regard, and continue negotiations with friendly countries to import the vaccine and secure it for citizens, stressing the need to stick to the measures taken to confront the Coronavirus.
