Aleppo: 80 percent of the rehabilitation project for the eastern garage in Al-Sha’ar neighborhood completed

Aleppo (ST): Aleppo City Council has completed about 80 percent of the rehabilitation project for the eastern garage in Al-Sha’ar neighborhood, after the devastation and destruction caused by terrorism, in preparation for putting it at the service of travelers to the eastern countryside of the governorate at a cost of 200 million Syrian pounds.

Eng. Jamal Karim, Assistant Director of Technical Affairs in the City Council said in a statement that the restoration works include the administration building on the ground floor, parking places, and reinforcing external bridges  through the establishment of metal connections, as well as the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of water, electricity and sewage networks, noting that about 80 percent of the project has been completed.

Karim pointed out that the area of the garage is five thousand square meters, in addition to an internal yard of 2,200 square meters, and inside the garage there are 12 shops for ticketing  and an external sunshade for parking with an area of 1,500 square meters.

Karim indicated that work has been done to create a center inside the garage to serve citizens coming from the countryside and enable them to obtain the required documents to ease their burdens instead of reaching the city center. The project is expected to be completed within two months.
