Syrian army units foil terrorist attacks in Daraa

DARAA, (ST)_Syrian army units have foiled an attempt to cause an explosion to a booby-trapped motorcycle in the heart of Daraa city, according to Police Commander in the city Brigade General Dherar Al-Dandal.

The commander said that the army’s engineering units detonated  the  explosive device which was attached to a motorcycle parked by an unknown person at 11.30am near a fuel station in the heart of Daraa city

“The engineering units urged the citizens to stay away from the scene before detonating the explosive device ,” he added, affirming that no citizen was injured but a minor damage was left in the scene.

Another attempt to plant an explosive device in the same city was also foiled.

Brig.Gen Al-Dandal said that army soldiers shot a person dead while he was planting an explosive device under a car in the same city.

It was impossible to dismantle the explosive device, so the army units detonated it without leaving casualties.
