Palestinian FM calls on international community to safegurad religious sites

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (ST)_The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has called on the international community to safeguard Islamic and Christian shrines, including Al-Aqsa Mosque and to stop Israel’s repeated attacks on these sites.
 
In a statement published by WAFA news agency, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry denounced the attack on the Dome of Rock by the Israeli occupation forces, who prevented  workers from completing rehabilitation works inside the site.
 
The attack came 24 hours after the Israeli occupation forces had prevented Al-Aqsa Construction Committee from carrying out rehabilitation works in the southeastern side of the mosque.  
 
The ministry pointed out that the escalation of Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque comes within the framework  of implementing Israel’s plans to Judaize the mosque .
 
It called on international organizations to stop the Israeli attacks on the Islamic and Christian sites.
