Biden’s nominee for US intelligence vows to release report on who killed Khashoggi

US President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee for Director of the National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines has vowed to release an unclassified report on who ordered and carried out the murder of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in his country’s consulate in Istanbul.

During a Senate hearing on Tuesday, Haines, who would serve as the Biden administration’s intelligence chief if confirmed by lawmakers, pledged that her office would follow the law when it comes to handing the Khashoggi report to Congress.
