Ankara (ST): The Turkish regime authorities issued arrest warrants for 238 people under the pretext of their links to Fethullah Gulen, whom the regime accused of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.

The Anatolia News Agency,  the mouthpiece of Erdogan’s regime, stated that the arrest warrants issued in Izmir city included six regions and 160 people had already been arrested.

It added that among those targeted were 218 army personnel who are still in service, including six colonels, three lieutenant colonels and nine majors.

Since the attempted coup, the Erdogan regime has launched a crackdown that has targeted its opponents in all sectors, and has resulted in the arrest of about 80,000 people awaiting trial, including many journalists, in addition to the dismissal, or suspension of work for about 150,000 others in the various civil and military institutions all over the country.
