Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova described the US accusation that Cuba was sponsoring terrorism as “a state lie.”
During a press briefing, Zakharova considered the US decision as “an unconstructive step” that shows Washington’s inability to pursue a steady foreign policy based on objective facts.
Zakharova pointed out that Washington adopted the principle of forgery and lying by accusing the Cuban authorities of sponsoring terrorists that the United States claims to fight collectively.
Last Monday, the administration of the outgoing US President Donald Trump announced, through Secretary of State Mike Pompeo the re-inclusion of Cuba on the American list of countries supporting terrorism.
The administration of former President Barack Obama had removed Cuba from this list.
