Sabbagh receives Iran’s Ambassador to Syria

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Speaker of the People’s Assembly [Parliament] Hammond Sabbagh received on Thursday Iran’s Ambassador in Damascus Javad Turk Abadi.
 
The talks between the two sides dealt with the strong relations between Syria and Iran in all fields.
 
Sabbagh highly appreciated the invitation he received to take part in the online symposium to be held next Monday by the Iranian Shoura Council to support solidarity with the Palestinian people.
 
“Syria will go ahead with supporting the Palestinian people until they get all their legitimate rights,” the speaker stressed.
 
For his part, the Iranian ambassador affirmed his country’s firm stance towards supporting Syria and its sovereignty and unity.
 
He also referred to his Iran’s support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
