Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has blamed the outgoing US President Donald Trump for the riot acts that targeted the Capitol Building in Washington last Wednesday, after he incited his supporters to behave in such an aggressive way.
He described the recent violent acts in Washington as an assault on democracy by violent rioters incited by Trump and other politicians, pointing out that such a violence highlights the fragile nature of democracy in the United States.
“It is very important that we all, as citizens and leaders, assume responsibility, chose our words properly and adopt right options that bring peoples together and respect others’ viewpoints without giving a space for hate and extremism,” Trudeau said.
