German MP: Erdogan represents grave threat to the region and the EU itself

Berlin (ST):   German MP from the leftist party Helin Evrim Sommer has reiterated that head of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyeb Erdogan was violating international law in the region, especially in Syria and Iraq.

Interviewed by a Turkish website, Sommer said that Erdogan’s government has been publicly violating international law, especially in Syria and Iraq. She noted that the European Union, which allowed Erdogan to practice his aggressive policies, cannot curb him through statements of concern and condemnation.

She added that Europe was mistaken when it asked Erdogan to host the refugees in return for billions of euros as Erdogan has been using the agreement as a tool of blackmail.

Regarding the recent tension with Greece, Sommer affirmed that it gave new evidence that Erdogan’s government has become a source of grave threat to the region as a whole and the EU itself.
