UN: Attack against the Capitol was motivated by instigation of violence and hatred

Geneva (ST): The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet has called on the US President Donald Trump to avoid dangerous and deceitful speeches referring to the attack against the Capitol building that was motivated by violence and hatred. 

France Press Agency quoted Bachelet as saying in a statement: “ We are extremely disturbed by the attack against the Capitol which clearly showed the devastating effect of hatred, violence and provocation motivated by politicians.” 

She also expressed shock at the dangerous threats to which the journalists were subjected to and the destruction of their equipment during the confrontations that recently erupted in the Capitol.
