Damascus (ST): Following four years of difficult negotiations that witnessed many political differences, Britain ended a 47-year period inside the European Union to start a new phase away from Brussels after the endorsement of the trade agreement for the post Brexit stage and its official withdrawal from the European market.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson considered the signing of the trade agreement as the end of differences with Europe, describing his country’s withdrawal from the European Market as a “wonderful moment” despite fears and expectations that this step would negatively reflect on the British economy.
The BBC said that radical changes would take place with the beginning of the new year with regard to the regulations of trade, immigration, security and the freedom of movement between Britain and the EU states.
The changes also include great losses for the British services companies which is a main sector in London.
