US-backed militia opens fire on protesters in Syrian town, wounding a civilian

HASAKA, (ST)_A civilian was wounded when US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia had opened fire on protesters in Tal Hmis town in the southern countryside of Qameshli city, according to local sources.

The sources said that the militia’s members opened fire on the residents of Tal Hamis town as they were protesting against the militia’s suppressive acts and kidnapping many young men in their area.

The residents of the above mentioned town retaliated for the shooting and wounded 4 members of the SDF militia [Its Arabic Acronym is QASAD] that brought in reinforcements and cordoned off the town.

Over the past months, SDF militia-held areas have witnessed protests against the criminal acts of the militia’s members in Hasaka, Der Ezzour and Raqqa provinces.
