Speaker of the Syrian People’s Assembly [Parliament] Hammoda Sabbagh received on Tuesday the Vice- Chancellor for International Affairs of Islamic Azad University Alaeddin Boroujerdi and the accompanying delegation.
The talks between the two sides dealt with the importance of the continuity of deepening parliamentary relations between Syria and Iran in regional and international meetings.
Sabbagh pointed out that the failure of the military war on Syria pushed evil forces to put all forms of pressure on Syria, mainly the unilateral and unjust siege being imposed on the people of Syria.
He affirmed that the war unified the people under the leadership of president Bashar Al-Assad.
On his part, Boroujerdi stressed his country’s firm stance towards Syria.
He made it clear that the goal of his current visit to Damascus is to enhance cooperation in the fields of science and scientific research.
“Iran wants to open branches for Azad University in Syria,” he added, indicating that the new war aims to limit scientific development.
