The Palestinian Liberation Organization’s (PLO) National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements has affirmed that backed by the US administration, the Israeli occupation authorities continue to implement the so-called “Deal of the Century” through intensifying their settlement building activities in the occupied Palestinian lands in an open violation of the international legitimacy Resolutions and the rights of the Palestinian people.
WAFA News Agency quoted the Bureau as saying in its weekly report that the occupation authorities announced a plan to build 8600 new settlement units on Palestinian lands extending from Beit Safafa in the southeast of occupied Al-Quds to Al- Waljah village in the southwest of the city.
In addition, the report said that the occupation continues to attack the old city of Al-Quds in order to undermine its identity and history and to Judaize it. In this framework, the occupation announced a plan to change the features of Bawabet Yafa area and establish a settlement outpost in Wadi Al- Rababa neighborhood in Silwan town to the South of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation also vandalized cemeteries and razed agricultural Palestinian lands to build more settlements.
According to the report, the occupation demolished several houses in Silwan and Al-Ezareyeh towns in occupied Al-Quds and handed over notifications about demolishing a number of houses in the town of Al-Zaheriyeh in Nablus. The Israeli authorities also destroyed commercial facilities in the village of Anin in Jenin and razed 50 dunums of agricultural land in Suba village, to the north of the Palestinian city of Al-Khalil.
The report went on to say that the Israeli settlers continued to attack cities and towns in the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces in order to establish two settlement outposts there.
The Israeli settlers also raided Tal Al-Ramida village in Al-Khalil and attacked the Palestinian houses and properties. They also prevented the Palestinian farmers from reaching their agricultural lands and burned some 400 olive trees.
