Slovak writer: Erdogan’s aggressive policies represent a threat to the world as a whole

Prague (ST): Slovak writer Carol Dutchak  has warned that the aggressive policies pursued by the Turkish regime represents a threat not only to the Middle East region but to the world as a whole.

In an article he published on the internet Dutchak said that Erdogan’s regime was illusively trying to establish a new Ottoman empire through supporting terrorists in Syria and occupying parts of its territories. It also recurrently violates the sovereignty of Greece and Cyprus, interferes in Libya’s internal affairs  with the aim of controlling oil resources and supports extremist groups operating in Europe.

He added that Erdogan’s suppression of the opposition figures, especially Turkish journalists made the situation extremely bad in Turkey which has the largest number of political prisoners in the world in comparison to the population number.

The Turkish regime has been  pressing ahead with its external military adventures in an attempt to cover its internal problems, and this led to aggravating its internal isolation and deteriorating economic situation in the country.
