The US ambassador to Lebanon cancels her visit to the municipality of Sidon

Beirut,(ST)-The US ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, canceled her planned visit to  Sidon municipality, under the pressure from demonstrators who gathered in front of the municipality headquarters to protest against  this visit.

This morning, the People’s Democratic Party in Sidon, youth organizations and national forces in it, carried out a protest in front of the city’s municipality, rejecting the visit of the US ambassador.

The protesters chanted in front of the municipality condemning the visit, the aggressive American policies towards Lebanon and the region, and the support provided by Washington to the Israeli occupation entity.
