People’s Assembly: Occupied Golan will continue to be an integral part of Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The People’s Assembly (PA) has stressed that the occupied Syrian Golan will continue to be a Syrian land thanks to the steadfastness of its people against all attempts by the Zionist occupation to change the Golan’s identity, including the occupation’s ill-fated decision to annex this sacred part of the Syrian land.

In a statement marking the 39th anniversary of the Israeli annexation decision, the PA reiterated that the decision is null and void and that the Golan will continue to be an integral part of Syria that will return sooner or later.

“All attempts by the Zionist occupation to impose its identity and educational curricula on the occupied Syrian Golan and to subject Golan to the Israeli laws and decisions have been faced by the absolute rejection of the people in Golan,” the PA statement said. It noted the patriotic stances of Golan locals in which they have asserted their rejection of the occupation’s colonialist schemes.

The PA noted the recent comprehensive strike carried out by the people in the occupied Syrian Golan in protest against the Israeli occupation’s plan to set up wind turbines on their farmlands.

The statement affirmed that today, the Syrian people are more determined to liberate the occupied Syrian Golan and restore it to the Syrian sovereignty.
