Israeli occupation’s demolition of Palestinian properties a crime against humanity the world continues to ignore

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s acts of demolishing Palestinian houses as well as seizing Palestinian homes and facilities constitute a crime against humanity that the world continues to ignore.

In a statement on Saturday reported by WAFA News Agency, the ministry said that the dangerous escalation of house demolition operations is part of the Israeli occupation’s open war on the  Palestinian existence, especially in occupied Al-Quds and the Jordan Valley. The ministry added that implementing the occupation’s annexation plans at the expense of the land of Palestine eliminate any opportunity to establish an independent, geographically connected and sovereign Palestinian state.

According to the ministry, the UN statistics clearly indicate that demolition acts have been escalated significantly during the recent period. The occupation authorities have recently demolished and seized 52 houses. They also demolished and seized 689 buildings since the beginning of this year, which led to the displacement of 869 Palestinians.

The ministry urged the international community not to deal with the Israeli demolition and bulldozing operations as statistics, because this covers the great suffering of the Palestinian people and the historical injustice practiced against them. He stressed that the failure to hold the occupation officials accountable for their crimes encourages them to continue demolishing and confiscating more Palestinian houses and facilities and forcibly displacing Palestinians from their homeland.
