Turkish regime’s mercenaries continue to cut water supply to 1.000.000 residents in Hasaka

HASAKA, (ST)_In a blatant violation of humanitarian and international laws and in order to put pressure on people, the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries have continued to cut the  water supply to 1.000.000 people in Hasaka city and its countryside for the 8th day running.

 

Local sources in Ras Al-Ayn region said that the mercenaries of the Turkish regime extended a power line from well No. 29 in Alouk station to Al-Sena’a district in Ras Al-Ayn city in a clear attack on power lines that feed the station.

 

Another power line was extended by the Turkish occupation forces from the same well to their illegal bases in Mrikiz town and in other areas.

 

These acts cause damage to the power line that feeds the Alouk water station.

 

“The residents of Hasaka and its countryside have had  no water since 20 days,” Director of Electricity company in Hasaka Eng. Anwar Akleh declared, pointing out that that Alouk station could not re-operate as long as the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries continue to extend electricity to the villages, which are under their control, in the vicinity of Ras Al-Ayn city.

 

The Turkish-backed mercenaries also use the electricity to operate the motors of agricultural wells they captured after displacing the residents from their villages.
