The West continues to impose double standards on the world, says Lukashenko

Minsk, (ST) –  Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko affirmed on Wednesday that, the West has continued to impose double standards on the world and has tried at the same time to manipulate and mislead world public opinion.

“The global lack of balance between civil liberties and security interests in Western societies is evident,” TASS quoted Lukashenko as saying during a video session of the Security Council secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, indicating that, Western governments adopt a policy of double standards as they suppress protests that oppose their policies but criticize attempts of other countries to achieve stability and maintain security in their territories.

“In these unequal conditions in evaluation systems, manipulation of people’s awareness and the use of hybrid influences and the techniques of so-called color revolutions has become very common,” Lukashenko added.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed earlier that the West continues to use dirty methods for “colored revolutions” and support the anti-government forces, including in Belarus.
