Putin reaffirms Russia’s position in support of the rights of the Palestinian people

Moscow,( ST)  – Russian President Vladimir Putin re-affirmed Russia’s position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among the establishment of an independent state, with al-Quds( Jerusalem) as its capital.

Putin stressed in a telegram of support he sent to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, as reported by Wafa News Agency that, Russia at all times supports the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state and calls for a just settlement of the Palestinian issue on the basis of international legitimacy decisions.

Putin indicated that Russia is keen to continue providing aid to Palestine in the fields of socio-economic development and facing the Corona pandemic.
