Ambassador of Pakistan delivers Pakistan International School’s aid to fire-affected families in Lattakia

Lattakia Governorate  received  on Wednesday aid  from the Pakistan International School in Damascus, presented by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus , Saeed Muhammad Khan, after a campaign launched at  the school in cooperation with the educational and administrative staff there and under the supervision of the Pakistani embassy to  support fire-affected citizens. 

The aid  included school chairs, clothes, food, and stationery requirements , in addition to an amount of five million Syrian pounds that was  deposited  in the account of the relief committee collected by school students to express their support for their fellow school students  at Lattakia schools after the fires which  broke out in Lattakia  countryside.

Governor of Lattakia Ibrahim Khader Al-Salem affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has always stood  by Syria and its rights, especially during the terrorist war that was waged against it, adding  this initiative expresses the Syrian-Pakistani  friendship  relations  and  amity which connects the two peoples. 

On his part, Ambassador Muhammad Khan stressed that his country’s government gives great importance to the distinguished and fraternal relations with Syria and  it always seeks  to strengthen the bonds of cooperation  relations between the two peoples and the two governments.

He  said   that “with the outbreak of fires in the countryside of the province, there was an immediate directive from the Pakistani government to provide what we can to mitigate the impacts  of these fires on those affected”.

In turn, Students from the Pakistani  International School , who attended  handing  over the aid,  expressed their happiness in  supporting  their fellow students  whose lands were damaged by the fires.

They underscored  that they came to Lattakia to stress  solidarity with those affected by fire, expressing their hope that lands would return green as they were.

The Pakistani ambassador and the governor of Lattakia visited the Al-Afaf Basic Education School in Lattakia, which received part of the school seats and viewed a number of classes there.
