One Belgian Terrorist Killed in Syria

BRUSSELS, (ST) -The Italian Akai News Agency reported today the death of a 20-year old  Belgian after entering Syria and joining the armed terrorist groups.

The agency quoted local sources as saying that the killed man  ( Tareq)  is a brother of a young man who  was arrested last week upon his return from Syria , noting certified  that the two brothers are  members of a dismantled  extremist cell called “A Sharia  for Belgium.”

The issue of Belgian youths fighting in Syria raised vast controversy in the country ‘s political and people ‘s circles and the exposure of several ministers in the current Belgian government to harsh criticism over accusations to  them for not moving in this regard.

The Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Rendsr and the Interior Minister  Joel Malkih  highly debated the issue  of Europeans  who leave to fight in Syria  under the name of Jihad , but in vain.

The agency noted that number of Belgians who went to fight in Syria tolled  80 to 100, most of them  are Belgian extremists .
