120 distinguished graduation projects in an exhibition at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Damascus
DAMASCUS, (ST)- 120 projects and applied research works formed part of the 3rd exhibition for distinguished graduation projects of university students of the year 2020.
The exhibition, which was opened on Monday, was held by the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Damascus University in cooperation with the Faculty of Informatics Engineering, the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology and a number of scientific institutions, private universities, companies and economic facilities.
The exhibition, held under the title (Partnership for a Bright Future), will continue until November 26th. It aims at developing the students’ inventions, projects as well as applied and research innovations to become marketable products. It also aims at creating job opportunities and establishing contacts between industrial companies on the one hand and each of the educational bodies supervising the projects and students who have implemented the projects.
The participating designs provide solutions and improve performance in several industries.
The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Damascus University Mustafa al-Mawaldi stressed that the exhibition is an important step to market and invest the products of scientific research, expressing hope that the companies as well as the public and private institutions will support these products in order to involve universities in finding solutions to the problems of society and contributing to the development of products.
Activities of the exhibition include lectures on up-to-date communication systems.
