Iranian Envoy Sees Bright Future for Syria

TEHRAN – Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Mohammad Reza Rao’uf Sheibani said a positive and bright future is waiting for Syria, adding that the necessary grounds are being prepared for the Syrian people to decide their own fates, according to FNA.

“I see positive prospects for the developments in Syria, the necessary grounds have been prepared in Syria and a new constitution has been compiled and these are the Syrian people who should decide about their fates,” ,” Rao’uf Sheibani told FNA.

Rao’uf Sheibani described Syria as the strategic friend of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and stressed, “We don’t allow plots and conspiracies be staged and completed against one of the members of the axis of resistance.”

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian civilians, police forces and border guards being reported across the country.
