Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the upcoming US administration to compensate for the mistakes of the past and return to the path of adherence to international agreements.
During a meeting of the Government Economic Coordination Committee today, Rouhani clarified that the new US administration must correct the mistakes of the outgoing US President Donald Trump, stressing that “Trump’s very abusive and wrong policies were not only rejected by the people of the world, but also rejected by the American people.”
Rouhani stressed that Tehran always favors constructive communication with the world and has always abided by its commitments, pointing out that the Iranian people’s resistance has proven that the policy of maximum pressure is doomed to failure.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council in Iran, Ali Shamkhani, confirmed that the defeat of US President Donald Trump in the presidential elections is evidence of the American people’s rejection of the policy of adopting arrogance to solve the problems he followed.
Shamkhani tweeted today that “the end of Trump is not strange. This is the inevitable fate,” wondering: “Does the elected government comprehend that it should write the following phrase (a lesson for future generations) under the image of Trump in the White House instead of writing “ forty-fifth President of the Republic. ”
CNN, NBC News and CBS News announced last night that Biden won the US presidential elections as the ballot result was decided in his favor after his victory in Pennsylvania where he collected 273 electoral votes.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador in London, Hamid Baadi Nejad, stressed that “Trump has not been able to impose a surrender on Iran. Now his political situation has ended in sorrow.”
Baadi Ahmadinejad tweeted today: “Finally, the political situation of a man who was only broadcasting hate has ended,” noting that Trump practiced a policy of maximum pressure on Tehran.
In turn, Head of the Center for Strategic Research at the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hosam Eddin Ashna underlined the failure of Trump’s maximum pressure policy against Iran, noting that with our patriotism we have withstood against Trump . And we say to Biden that it is wrong to test the experimenter.”
It is noteworthy that Trump announced in May 2018 his country’s withdrawal from the nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5 + 1 group and the re-imposition of sanctions against Tehran in defiance of the will of the international community and in violation of international resolutions in this regard.
