Dozens of deals reached at the conclusion of Producers 2020 Exhibition

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Producers 2020 Exhibition, held in Takkiya Suleimanyah in Damascus, wrapped up its activities on Friday after reaching dozens of agreements and deals between Aleppo young producers and the traders and businessmen who visited the exhibition.

138 producers representing 77 small facilities working in the textile industries, traditional handicrafts, leather goods, food and furniture took part in the event.

The exhibition, which was organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, witnessed the establishment of partnerships on production and on marketing and distributing the products in Damascus and other provinces and exporting some of them abroad with the aim of introducing and promoting the products and breaking the unfair economic siege imposed on the country and contributing to decreasing the prices of goods.

“The aim of the exhibition is to support small enterprises and market the products of the participants,” Joseph Fanon, the exhibition coordinator, told SANA, pointing out that the participants managed to present high quality goods at competitive prices that satisfied traders and encouraged them to sing new deals with the producers.

Zakaraya Azizi, one of the participants who work in furniture, said that  many visitors admired his exhibits and that he managed to make some deals during the exhibition. He pointed out that he inherited the furniture industry from his ancestors, but the circumstances that the Aleppo governorate went through stopped his work and forced him to work in other professions, until he was provided support that enabled him to buy machines and start again with the original profession which he loves and masters.
