Russian MD denies allegations of targeting civil positions in Idleb

Moscow (ST): The Russian Ministry of Defence has denied the allegations that have been mongered by some media outlets linked to terrorist organizations that claimed that Russian and Syrian air forces targeted civil positions in Idleb city.

Deputy president of the Russian Coordination Centre in Hmeimem Admiral Alexander Grenvitic said in a press statement, “ In reply to the accusations made by some foreign media outlets against the forces in Syrian Arab Republic about targeting civil positions in Idleb Governorate, we affirm that the Syrian Army and the Russian warplanes do not target civil positions in the governorate.”

He added that the Russian Coordination Centre repeatedly warned against the possibility of carrying out provocative acts by terrorist organizations with the aim of accusing the Syrian Arab army and undermining stability in Idleb, referring to the increasing number of ceasefire violations by the terrorist organizations affiliated to al-Nosra terrorist organization.
