Zarif: Iran won’t renegotiate nuclear deal whoever wins US elections

Tehran (ST): Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif has affirmed that Iran would not renegotiate the nuclear deal whoever was the winner of the US elections.

In a statement he made to the CBS news channel, Zarif said ” If we wanted to renegotiate, we would have done it four years ago with Trump, but Iran does not want any negotiations in this issue”, noting that Tehran wants the US to rejoin the deal but this does not mean renegotiation.

Zarif pointed out that Tehran does not prefer any of the two rivals in the US elections, stressing that if the US halts its devastating behavior against Iran, things will be different.
