Kilicdaroglu to Erdogan: “If you are serious about your threats to France, close the Renault’s factories in Turkey”
ANKARA, (ST)- Leader of the Turkish Opposition Republican People’s Party Kemal Kilicdaroglu mocked President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s attempts to cover up the crises he is facing at home by criticizing France.
“Erdogan is taking advantage of the current events in France and the developments that took place in the wake of the killing of a French teacher earlier this month, to cover up the crises in Turkey, including the collapse of the Turkish lira,” Kilicdaroglu said in a statement to Turkish media outlets.
He denounced Erdogan’s calls for boycotting the French goods while his wife carries a French-made bag.
“If you are serious, honest and courageous in your threats to France, why don’t you think about closing Renault’s factories in Turkey .. You only speak without action,” he said addressing President of the Turkish regime.
It is noteworthy that 500 French companies are operating in Turkey in which 100,000 Turkish citizens work. 6,000 Turks are working in Renault’s factories only that manufacture about 320 thousand cars annually.
