A humanitarian aid convoy from the citizens of occupied Syrian Golan and Damascus offered to areas affected by fires in Tartous

Tartous (ST): – A convoy of humanitarian aid was presented by the people of the occupied Syrian Golan and Damascus to those affected by fires in Tartous.

In a statement, Rasha al Halah, the supervisor of the aid presented by the occupied Syrian Golan’s citizens residing in Damascus, said that the convoy includes food baskets and clothes in addition to sterilization materials.

She added that this campaign is an expression of the solidarity of the citizens of the Golan with their homeland, especially with the citizens of the cities affected by fires. “Moreover, the aid also stresses the social values that link the Syrian people together in all circumstances” she said, saying that the convoy was transported in cooperation with the voluntary team of “Help Society” in Damascus.

In turn ,Mahmoud Dumarani, Director of the Labour and Social Affairs in Damascus said that the convoy holds 12 tons of foodstuffs and 3 tons of clothes in addition to sterilization items, part of which are provided by the Golan’s citizens to express their belonging to their homeland, Syria, and their stand by its sons, and the rest was presented by a number of domestic societies and Damascus sons with the aim of supporting the people in Tartous who were affected by the fires.

For his part, Mustafa Abbasi from the response team of societies at the Directorate of the Social Affairs in Damascus said that the aid proves the unity of the Syrian people and their strong national cohesion.
