Syria participates in the International Geometry Olympiad in Iran

Damascus (ST): Syria will take part in the International Geometry Olympiad organized by Iran tomorrow  with the participation of students from 60 states.

The Olympiad tests will be conducted via the internet at the same time for all the participants. The tests will include high-level problems in the Plane and Solid Geometry.

About 182 students, who are current and former members of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad national team,  will represent Syria in the event. The Syrian students will be distributed at five centres in the cities of Damascus, Lattakia, Aleppo, Tartous and Homs.

 

The event was launched for the first time in 2014 and is considered one of the most important scientific competitions specialized in geometry at international level.
