Two earthquakes hit the northeastern city of Latakia

On the morning of  October 28’s , two earthquakes hit the northeastern city of Lattakia, one of which was  3.3 degrees and the other 3.6 on the Richter scale.

The National Seismic Center stated that the stations of the National Seismic Network at the Center recorded a moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 degrees on the Richter scale and a depth of 16 km at 4:00 am, at a distance of 50 km northeast of Lattakia.

The center said that a second moderate earthquake, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, and a depth of 15 km, was recorded by the network stations at 8:52 am in the morning, it is also 50 km to the northeast of Lattakia.

On August 25, the National Seismic Center recorded a moderate earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale at a distance of 25 kilometers northwest of Hama.
